WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Midwestern State (9-3-3, 5-2-0) secured a 2-0 victory over West Texas A&M (5-7-1, 2-4-1) on Sunday at Stang Park.
The first half commenced with Midwestern State establishing an early offensive presence highlighted by multiple corner kicks within the first 20 minutes. The pivotal moment came in the 21st minute when
Cooper Tea scored, giving Midwestern State a 1-0 lead. Despite several fouls and a yellow card, the home team maintained their advantage, with
Jake Morris making a crucial save in the 27th minute to preserve the lead. The half concluded with the Mustangs ahead 1-0, successfully holding off the Buffaloes' attempts to equalize.
MSU began the second half with sustained offensive pressure, securing multiple corner kicks and testing the Buffs' defense early on.

Parker Plaxco capitalized on an assist from
