SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Midwestern State has a four-game winning streak and takes a nine-game unbeaten streak to St. Mary's for a Lone Star Conference duel on Wednesday night at Sigma Beta Chi Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Midwestern State (6-1-4, 6-0-2) is coming off a 5-0 win at Sul Ross State and improved to 2-1-4 on the road this season.
Marlene Myrvold had a goal and an assist in the victory at Alpine.
Nyxalee Munoz scored her fifth goal of the season.

Abbey Lee also scored goals for the Mustangs, who outshot the Lobos 35-5 and only allowed four shots on goal.
Pruter was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week after the Mustangs shut out two opponents last week, including a 2-0 victory over West Texas A&M at Stang Park. Pruter had a goal and an assist in the two games and became the first Mustang to win Defensive Player of the Week since 2021.
Munoz is the lead goal scorer for Midwestern State, and she leads the team with 11 points in 11 matches. Myrvold has scored twice in the last three games and has scored four goals this season.
The Mustangs are outshooting opponents 193-85 and have taken 41 more corner kicks than the opposition. While MSU has taken 76 shots on goal, opponents have been limited to 32 shots on goal.
Southern Nazarene, which played Midwestern State to a 2-2 draw, is the only team to have more than five shots on goal against the Mustangs this season. The Crimson Storm put seven shots on goal in the season opener in Bethany, Okla.
Tanner Sorenson has started nine games at goalkeeper and is 5-0-3 for the Mustangs with 0.90 goals-against average. Sorenson has three clean sheets, and she combined with
Lauren Short for another shutout. Short has appeared in four matches with two starts and is 1-1-1 with a 1.55 goals-against average.
Midwestern State is 8-7-3 in the all-time series with St. Mary's and is 4-4-0 when visiting the Rattlers.
The Mustangs defeated St. Mary's in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Championship, 3-1, as
Nyxalee Munoz scored twice, including once on a penalty kick, and
Lillia Besedin also scored for MSU at Stang Park. St. Mary's only managed two shots on goal in the loss.
In the regular season meeting at Stang Park last season, the Mustangs and Rattlers played a 1-1 draw. Munoz assisted Besedin on the equalizer in the 78th minute after Alexis Truitt scored in the 60th minute for St. Mary's.
St. Mary's (5-5-1, 4-4-0) is coming off a 2-0 loss at Angelo State, but the Rattlers are 3-2-0 at home.
Shelby Paniagua has seven goals and three assists for St. Mary's and is tied for third in the conference with 17 points. Elena Kossler has scored six goals for the Rattlers, including three game-winning goals, which is second-most in the LSC.
Kossler leads the conference with 1.91 shots on goal per game.
Haley Faucette has started all 11 games as the Rattlers' goalkeeper. She is 5-5-1 with a 1.66 goals-against average with two clean sheets. She also combined with Quetza Garza for another shutout.
Midwestern State returns home on Saturday afternoon to play Angelo State at 4:30 p.m.
