WICHITA FALLS, TX --The Midwestern State volleyball team beat the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22) Friday at DL Ligon Coliseum.
The non-conference win boosted the Mustangs' overall record to 3-0 on the season.
The Mustangs were led by a double-double from Demi Stauffenberg, who registered 15 kills and 11 digs on the day. Riley Rabedeaux also added 14 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Jenna Redding chipped in for with 10 digs to go with seven blocks from Gabrielle Oos.

SET 2 | Midwestern State then lost the second set 25-19, tying the match at a set apiece. Midwestern State trailed by as many as six points as Northwestern Oklahoma State grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was knotted up two times before the Rangers took over the lead.
SET 3 | Midwestern State put the second-set loss behind and grabbed a 2-1 match lead with a win in set three. The Mustangs led from the opening point on in the set to earn a 25-22 victory. Midwestern State opened up as much as a nine point lead at 14-5 before closing out the set, totaling 17 kills along the way. Midwestern State's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Northwestern Oklahoma State attacks in the stanza.
SET 4 | Midwestern State kept the momentum going, claiming the match win with a 25-22 set-four victory. The Mustangs led from the opening point on in the set to earn the victory. Midwestern State opened up as much as a nine point lead at 15-6 before finishing off the stanza, collecting 15 kills along the way.
