AMARILLO, Texas -- Midwestern State's Alli Reily continued her run of stellar performances at the Tascosa Golf Club Monday in West Texas A&M's D2 West Region Preview.

The junior from Pottsboro carded scores of 72 and 73 for a 3-over total of 145 to stand seventh through the opening 36 holes of the tournament.

"Alli was good off of the tee and pretty good on the greens today," MSU coach Jeff Ray said. "She has fared really well at the course."

Reily claimed her first collegiate individual win last fall at La Paloma, carding scores of 71, 68, and 73 for a 1-under 212. She proved solid Monday, carding three birdies and posting 27 pars through the first two rounds.

Her play helped the Mustangs into seventh place against a very strong regional field.

Senior Makenna Henry (74-78) is tied for 33rd with a 10-over total of 152, while freshman Mary Kerr (76-77) is tied for 42nd with an 11-over 153.

Senior Brecklyn Flanagan (75-79) is tied for 47th with a 12-over 154, just a stroke ahead of junior Kodi Nolen (78-77) wo his tied for 50th, while sophomore Madison Wert (78-81) is tied for 67th with a 17-over 159.

The Mustangs (602/+34) trail tournament leader California State-San Marcos (583/+15) by 19 strokes.

West Texas A&M (584/+16) is second, followed by UT Tyler (585/+17), Dallas Baptist (586/+18), St. Mary's (586/+18), and California State-Los Angeles (592/+24).

"It's a pretty solid tournament for us, especially on this golf course," Ray said. "We just didn't do a good enough job of turning 3s into 2s."

California State-San Marcos senior Madison Murr fired scores of 65 and 72 for a 5-under 137 to take a three stroke lead over West Texas A&M senior Gam Songprasert (72-68).

The final round of the West Region Preview begins with a shotgun start Tuesday morning at 8:30.
