McCall promoted to Associate Head Coach for MSU volleyball

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Jennifer McCall, an assistant on the volleyball coaching staff at Midwestern State for the past two seasons, has been promoted to Associate Head Coach.

McCall has worked alongside Midwestern State head coach Stephanie Radecki for 14 seasons. The duo led North Alabama to five NCAA Division II tournament appearances and won back-to-back Gulf South Conference postseason championships in 2015 and 2016.

The Littleton, Colorado native was the associate head coach alongside Radecki for four seasons at Division I Southern Mississippi before coming to Midwestern State.

"Loyalty is one of the most important qualities of a member of any team." Radecki said. "Not only is Jenn loyal to the expectations, mission, and standard established by myself and our athletic administration, she demonstrates it daily and has great knowledge. We have a united goal of team success as well as the development of each person, student and athlete that joins the MSU Texas Volleyball program. I am honored to work with her daily."

McCall has 25 years of coaching experience, including five years as the head coach at North Carolina-Wilmington. She was also an associate head coach for one season at Gardner-Webb after spending three years as an assistant coach and associate head coach at Iowa State

McCall enjoyed an outstanding playing career at Florida State where she helped the Seminoles to three NCAA Tournament appearances as a four-year letter winner.

The setter remains ninth all-time with 2,888 career assists, while her 1,452 assists during the 1993 season rank third on the single-season list.

McCall was the starting setter on FSU's co-championship team in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1992 and was voted Team MVP in 1993.

A three-time team captain and member of the league's All-Academic Team, McCall earned the Golden Torch Award from 1991-93 for posting the team's highest grade-point average and earned her bachelor's degree in physical education in 1994.

After her playing career, she spent five years on the staff at Auburn where she earned her master's degree in health and human performance in 1997.

She helped the Tigers compile a 98-52 overall record with the Southeastern Conference Western Division regular season title in 1997.

The Mustangs begin the 2024 campaign with the Midwestern State Invitational on Sept. 5 and will face Adams State at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
