THACKERVILLE, Oklahoma -- Midwestern State's Seth Bearden earned all-tournament honors and Trevor Walsh notched his first Top 10 individual finish of the season to help the Mustangs to a second-place team showing during stroke play in the Lone Star Conference Championships Tuesday at the WinStar Golf Club's Scissortail Course.

MSU fired team scores of 284, 288, and 293 for a 1-over total of 865 to finish runner-up to Dallas Baptist (286-282-283/-13), while Oklahoma Christian (292-286-288 866/+2) and Western New Mexico (291-289-288 868/+4) earned the other two semifinals spots in the medal match tournament.

No. 1-seeded DBU takes on No. 4-seeded Western New Mexico, while No. 3-seeded Midwestern State faces No. 3-seed Oklahoma Christian beginning at 8 a.m. The winners move on to the LSC title match Wednesday afternoon around 1:30.

The Mustangs can win their fifth LSC title and first since 2022. MSU also claimed wins in 2013, 2018, and 2019.

Bearden continued his stellar run through his sophomore campaign by logging his 14th par-or-better score by turning in a clean card with 17 pars and a birdie on the par-5, 551-yard 13th hole.

The Crowell, Texas, native, who marked scores of 69 and 72 in the first two rounds, tied for fourth with a 4-under 212 to earn LSC all-tournament team honors.

Oklahoma Christian's Leandro Mihaich claimed individual medalist honors with a 9-under, 54-hole tally of 207 after carding scores of 68, 67, and 72. He finished two strokes ahead of Dallas Baptist's Sam Jenkins (69-69-71), who fired a 7-under 209.

Cameron's Rudy Sautron (69-69-72) and Western New Mexico's Adam Niles (71-73-68) also earned all-tournament team accolades by finishing third and tied for fourth, respectively.

Walsh enjoyed his best tournament as a Mustang, logging scores of 69, 74, and 73 to tie for ninth with an even-par total of 216, while senior Robert Garcia (74-71-76) tied for 23rd with a 5-over 221.

Fellow senior Keaton Dickens (76-71-76) tied for 30th with a 7-over 223, just a stroke ahead of junior Gatlin Goad (72-79-73), who logged an 8-over 224 to tie for 33rd.
