WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State moved up a spot to fifth in the second set of NCAA Division II South Central Region rankings released Friday evening.
The top 10 teams and four individuals not on an advancing team from West and South Central regions will comprise the West/South Central Super Regional field which is set for selection by the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Committee on Friday April 26. The tournament runs from May 9-11 at the New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Oklahoma Christian tops the South Central Region followed by Colorado Christian, Dallas Baptist, UT Permian Basin, MSU, Colorado State-Pueblo, West Texas A&M, Western New Mexico, UT Tyler, Colorado School of Mines, and Colorado Mesa.
California State-Monterey Bay heads the West Region followed by Chico State (Calif.), California State-East Bay, California State-San Bernardino, California State-San Marcos, Stanislaus State (Calif.), Sonoma State (Calif.), Simon Fraser (B.C.), Hawaii Hilo, Western Washington, and Hawaii Pacific.
The five low teams and the two lowest scorers out of each of the four regionals advance to the NCAA Division II Championships set for May 21-25 at the Orange County National Golf Club in Winter Garden, Florida.
Midwestern State competes in the Lone Star Conference Championships from April 22-24 at the WinStar Golf Club in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
