SAN ANTONIO -- Midwestern State led the St. Mary's Rattler Invitational by six strokes when play was suspended by darkness Monday night at the Dominion Country Club.

The Mustangs displayed solid, all-around team play with four players in the Top 20 of the individual leader board.

Sophomore Seth Bearden posted an eagle and six birdies for an opening round, 4-under 68 and was 3-over through 15 holes of the second round to stand tied for fourth at 1-under.

Senior Keaton Dickens fired four birdies on his way to a 2-under 70 in the first round and was 2-over par through 13 holes before play was suspended by darkness in the second round. The Iowa Park native ended the day tied for ninth at even-par.

Fellow senior Robert Garcia marked 17 pars to finish with a 1-over 73 in the opening round before going seven through 15 holes in the second with a pair of birdies. He finished the day tied for 11th at 1-over par.

Junior Trevor Walsh posted an eagle and two birdies to fire an even-par 72 in the opening round and was 4-over par through 14 holes in the second to land in a tie for 20th at 4-over.

Junior Gatlin Goad scored a 4-over 76 in the opening round and was 1-over through 14 holes in the second round to work in to a tie for 25th at 5-over.

Odessa College's Sungyeop Cho carded an eagle and seven birdies on the way to an opening round, 8-under 64 before logging four more birdies in the second round and is 2-under through 15 holes. He tops the individual leader board at 10-under.

The round was delayed at the start of the day due to frost on the course.

Play resumes Tuesday morning at 8:15 a.m., followed by the third round.
