DENTON, Texas -- Midwestern State begins a regular season-ending three-match road trip on Saturday afternoon as it visits Texas Woman's. First serve at Kitty Magee Arena is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The Mustangs closed out the home portion of their schedule on Wednesday night and were swept by UT Tyler, 25-15, 25-15, 25-21. With the loss to the Patriots, MSU fell to 13-13 overall and 5-8 in conference play.
Midwestern State is 3-4 on the road this season but lost its last away match at Oklahoma Christian, 26-24, 25-12. 25-23.
Midwestern State is leading the conference and is 22nd in the nation with 38.74 attacks per set, and the Mustangs are hitting .199 for the season.
Isabella Dickens leads the team and is ninth in the conference with a hitting percentage of .329, and
Gabrielle Oos is hitting .287 for the Mustangs.
Riley Rabedeaux leads Midwestern State and is 13th in the conference with 9.06 attacks per set, while
Demi Stauffenberg is 14th in the league with 9.01.
Rabedeaux is 16th in the league with 3.11 kills per set and is hitting .237 for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs are averaging 12.18 assists per set, led by sophomore
Alayna Guerrero and senior
Brooke Parker. Guerrero is ninth in the league with 6.88 assists per set, and Parker is 13th in the conference with 5.6 assists per set. With 21 assists against UT Tyler, Guerrero surpassed 1,000 assists in her career at MSU.
Midwestern State is averaging the sixth-most digs per set in the Lone Star Conference with 16.03.
Amy DeWalt is averaging 3.35 digs per set, while Stauffenberg is averaging 3.01, and
Jenna Redding is averaging 2.77. All three women are among the top-25 in the LSC.
Oos is 13th in the league with 0.84 blocks per set. Dickens has 65 total blocks and is averaging 0.74 blocks per set. Dickens has 31 blocks in conference matches to lead the Mustangs. Oos has 21 total blocks against LSC opponents.
