SAN ANTONIO -- Midwestern State won its fourth consecutive title at the Lone Star Conference Men's Soccer Championship as Johan Juarez and Josh Milla scored second-half goals in a 2-1 victory over St. Mary's at Sigma Beta Chi Field on Sunday afternoon.
With its third win over the LSC regular season champions, Midwestern State improved to 14-2-3.
The Mustangs won a conference tournament championship for the ninth time in the history of the program. The Mustangs have lifted the trophy five times in the last six years and six times in the last eight seasons.
Mere Escobar, who assisted on Milla's game-winning goal, was named tournament MVP. Eduardo Cerna, who scored twice in the 3-1 semifinal win over St. Edward's, Juan Galindo, Jarrod McKechnie, and goalkeeper Daniel Robles were also named to the All-Tournament team.

St. Mary's scored the first goal in the 23rd minute as Enzo Jaques notched his third goal of the season for the Rattlers.
Juarez scored his first goal of the season in the 76th minute, assisted by Liam Kervick.
Midwestern State scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute as Escobar delivered a pass to the left foot of Milla inside the 18, and the senior from McKinney moved left and delivered his shot into the far-side netting for his first goal of the season.
