PORTALES, New Mexico -- Midwestern State stormed back after dropping the first set to secure a 3-1 win (19-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-18) over the Eastern New Mexico Saturday afternoon at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.
The conference win improved Midwestern State's record to 15-14 overall and 7-9 in LSC action as the Mustangs closed a complete campaign with a winning ledger for the first time since the 2013 squad went 17-13. MSU also finished 10-7 in the pandemic-shortened season during the spring of 2021.
The Mustangs offense was paced by Demi Stauffenberg, who finished with 13 kills on the day. Isabella Dickens added 10 and Arrianna Fields chipped in with 10 as part of balanced Midwestern State attack. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Amy Dewalt had 21 and Brooke Parker had 12.
