WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State got goals from Jimena Rodriguez and Nyxalee Munoz in a 2-0 Lone Star Conference win over UT Permian Basin Tuesday afternoon at Stang Park.
The victory improved the Mustangs to 8-2-5 overall and 4-1-5 in Lone Star play as MSU moved into a tie for sixth place in the LSC standings with Lubbock Christian and St. Mary's -- all with 17 points.
How it Happened
Midwestern St. took a 1-0 lead when Munoz scored her fourth goal of the season off of a free kick from about 25 yards out in the 11th minute.
The Mustangs increased their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Rodriguez in the 39th minute when Lexi Beck served a cross left wing. Rodriguez buried her third goal of the season from just outside of the 3-yard box.

- Midwestern State received one yellow card on defender Mable Pruter in the 50th minute.
- Allison Dellis collected nine saves for the Mustangs out of 24 total Falcons shots to earn her second clean sheet of the season.
