Mustangs square off with No. 20 Central Washington Saturday night in Ellensburg

ELLENSBURG, Washington -- Midwestern State heads to the Great Northwest to take on No. 20-ranked Central Washington Saturday night for the Wildcats' Homecoming at Tomlinson Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (Central Time).

The game streams live on FloSports, the exclusive broadcast partner of the Lone Star Conference.

Subscriptions are available for $14.99 per month or $99.99 annually. Additionally, those who use a dot edu email address from an LSC member institution will be able to sign up at a discounted subscription rate of $9.99 a month or $69.99 for the year. The negotiated pricing for LSC fans is only available at go.flosports.tv/partner/lone-star.

Midwestern State brings a 3-4 overall record into the weekend and is seventh in the Lone Star Conference with a 2-3 league mark, while Central Washington (5-2, 4-1 LSC) is in third place just one game behind conference co-leading Angelo State and Western Oregon.

Sophomore quarterback Andrew Knebel directs the MSU attack, completing 45-of-90 passes for 555 yards and four touchdowns.

Sophomore Demonte Greene tops the receiving corps with 321 yards on 14 receptions with three touchdowns. Junior Arabia Bradford, Jr. has accounted for 238 yards on 18 receptions, while junior Justin White, Jr. leads the squad with 22 receptions for 207 yards.

Junior running backs Devin Cross (78 carries, 475 yards) and Jalen March (79 carries, 316 yards) lead the Mustangs' ground game.

Senior safety Larry Donnell leads the MSU defense with 44 tackles to go along with two interceptions, two pass breakups, and a pair of fumble recoveries, while senior linebacker Braden Robinson is second on the squad with 36 tackles.

Sophomore quarterback Kennedy McGill directs Central Washington's attack. The Bothell, Washington, native has thrown for 993 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while also leading the Wildcats in rushing with 665 yards and six touchdowns.

Reigning LSC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Tyler Flanagan has also rushed for 556 yards and eight touchdowns, while senior Cam Daniels has ran for 332 more yards.

CWU boasts a trio of senior receivers with more than 200 receptions yards, including Darrien Gaines (15 receptions, 266 yards), Marcus Cook (18 receptions, 253 yards), and Darius Morrison (21 receptions, 246 yards).

Senior defensive back Tanner Volk, who won the 2023 Cliff Harris Awards as the best D2 defensive player, leads the Wildcats with 41 tackles and one interception. Last season, Volk finished the campaign with 124 tackles and 13 interceptions.

ABOUT THE SERIES | Midwestern State and Central Washington meet for the fourth time on the gridiron Saturday night at Tomlinson Stadium. The Wildcats won each of the previous meeting, including two in Ellensburg. CWU defeated the Mustangs 30-20 in 2021 and 17-10 in 2022 in Washington, then survived its first trip to Wichita Falls by coming away with a 10-7 win last season.
