AUSTIN, Texas -- Midwestern State travels to St. Edward's with a six-match unbeaten streak and is seeking its first win over the Hilltoppers since 2017. Kickoff at Lewis-Chen Family Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Mustangs are coming off a 1-1 draw with St. Mary's last Saturday afternoon at Stang Park. MSU is 7-1-3 overall with a 3-0-3 record in the Lone Star Conference. The Mustangs are trailing first-place Angelo State by four points in the conference standings and sit two points behind Dallas Baptist.
Midwestern State has a plus-15 goal differential and has scored the second-most goals in the LSC this season with 27.
Madison Brinkley and
Cassidy Savoy lead the team and are fourth in the conference with six goals apiece.
Nyxalee Munoz has scored has scored three goals, while
Lexi Beck,
Sarah Hayes,
Jimena Rodriguez and
Lillia Besedin have each scored twice.
Savoy is fourth in the league with 14 total points, and Brinkley is eighth in the conference with 12 points.
Allessandra Romano leads the conference with five assists, and Beck is fourth in the league with four assists. Munoz has three assists, which is seventh-most in the LSC.

Allison Dellis is second in the league with 54 saves and her 1.1 goals-against average is fifth-best in the LSC. Dellis boasts the fourth-best save percentage in the conference at .836. The sophomore from Denton has a 6-1-3 record with 11 goals allowed over 10 matches.
Midwestern State is 0-2-2 in its last four meetings with the Hilltoppers, including a 1-1 draw at Stang Park last season. The Mustangs lost their last visit to St. Edward's, 1-0, and fell to 4-5-0 all-time when visiting the Hilltoppers. St. Edward's leads the all-time series, 8-7-6.
St. Edward's enters the match with a 3-6-2 record overall and a 1-4-1 conference mark. The Hilltoppers snapped a five-match winless streak with a 2-0 win over Eastern New Mexico. Annie Rocha scored both goals in the victory, and ended a stretch of 276 minutes without a goal for St. Edward's.
St. Edward's has scored 10 goals this season, and Rocha has scored eight of those goals for the Hilltoppers, who have conceded 14 goals in their 11 matches.
Rocha is the leading goal scorer in the Lone Star Conference and is third in the league with 17 points. Isabella Ruiz and Tristyn Cabello have each scored a goal for the Hilltoppers this season.
Daria Schlumbohm has started all 11 games at goalkeeper for the Hilltoppers and has recorded 53 saves. The sophomore from Germany has a 1.27 goals-against average and a .791 save percentage. She has allowed 14 goals and has posted four clean sheets.
Midwestern State returns to Stang Park on Wednesday night to face Oklahoma Christian. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
