WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State celebrates Senior Day and hosts its final dual match before the Lone Star Conference Championships as Arkansas-Fort Smith visits MSU Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
The 40th-ranked Mustangs have won four of their last five duals and improved to 16-6 with a 7-2 conference record following a 4-3 victory over No. 9-ranked Cameron on Thursday afternoon. Midwestern State handed the Aggies their first loss in conference play and ended their 13-dual winning streak.
Midwestern State is 8-1 at home this season and has won its previous 13 encounters with Arkansas-Fort Smith, including a 6-1 victory over the Lions at MSU Tennis Center last season.

Amelia Lawson and
Emilija Visic are the four seniors that will be recognized during Senior Day ceremonies.
Lawson has been a stalwart at No. 1 singles this season. The fifth-year senior from New Zealand had a five-match winning streak snapped with a 6-7 (2), 2-6 loss to 26th-ranked Vasilisa Polunova of Cameron. Lawson is 12-9 overall in singles with a 5-3 conference record.
Di Matteo has reeled off three consecutive wins since taking over the No. 2 position for the Mustangs. Di Matteo is coming off a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Lea Manga of Cameron. The fifth-year senior from Palermo, Italy, is 10-8 in singles this season and has won five of her eight matches against conference opponents.
Hannah Yip has suffered three-set losses in each of her last two singles matches at the No. 3 position. Kateryna Rudenko scored a 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory for Cameron on Thursday. Yip is 7-12 in singles this season, including a 2-6 mark in the LSC.
Visic has won four of her last six matches, including a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Jenna Goessel of Cameron in the No. 4 position on Thursday. Visic is 8-1 at home this season and 11-9 in singles overall.
Skylar Minns clinched the dual-match victory against Cameron and improved to 13-2 in singles this season with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph in the No. 5 spot against Magda Wowrowska.
Micaela McSpadden has posted a 7-3 record in the No. 6 position for Midwestern State and is 4-1 at home after losing a match tiebreak to Karolina Glowinska of Cameron, 8-10.
The Mustangs are 38-24 in doubles as a team this season. Lawson and
Sydney Williams are 13-6 in the No. 1 position. Minns and Visic have posted a 10-3 record at No. 3 doubles. Visic was paired with Di Matteo at No. 2 doubles against Cameron, and the duo prevailed, 6-3.
Arkansas-Fort Smith is 1-17 this season and 0-9 in the LSC. The Lions only victory this season came at University of the Ozarks on Feb. 18.
