LA MIRADA, Calif. -- No. 20-ranked Midwestern State (7-3) continues its four-dual excursion in California against Hawaii-Hilo (4-4) at the Biola Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for Wednesday at 5 p.m. central time.
Midwestern State leads the all-time series, 2-0, and won the last meeting, 8-1, in 2018 at Las Vegas. In 2009, the Mustangs defeated the Vulcans, 6-3, as the two schools met in Glendale, Arizona.
The Mustangs had a six-dual winning streak snapped with a 4-0 loss to 14th-ranked Azusa Pacific on Monday afternoon.

Skylar Minns is 6-0 in singles for MSU with four victories coming in the No. 5 position.
Emilija Visic has opened the season with a 6-3 record in singles, playing eight matches in the No. 4 position and winning her only match at No. 3 singles. Visic had a four-match winning streak snapped with a 6-4, 6-2 loss to Vini Bautista of Azusa Pacific.
Sydney Williams has won her last four singles matches and improved to 4-1 on the season with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 5 singles against Lola Cincunegui of Southwest Baptist.
Amelia Lawson is 5-5 at No. 1 singles after suffering a 6-4, 6-4 loss to No. 4-ranked Eleonora Liga of Azusa Pacific on Monday.
Alice Di Matteo has played all eight of her singles matches in the No. 3 position. Di Matteo had a four-match winning streak snapped with a 6-1, 5-7, 0-6 loss to Elsa Pascual of Southwest Baptist.
Minns and Visic are 3-0 as a doubles team with victories over Collin College, St. Mary's and Azusa Pacific.
Visic improved to 4-1 in doubles overall following a 6-2 win over the Cougars. Visic has played with both Minns and
Hannah Yip this season.
Williams and Lawson are 4-4 at No. 1 doubles and are coming off a 6-2 loss to the No. 4-ranked duo of Liga and Madison Kane at Asusa Pacific.
Di Matteo and
Kanaha Furutani are 5-3 as a doubles team, including a 3-3 record at No. 2 doubles and a 2-0 mark at No. 3 doubles.
Hawaii-Hilo fell to 4-4 with a 7-0 loss to Point Loma Nazarene in San Diego on Monday.
Hikari Osaki has been a dominant singles player in the No. 4 spot for the Vulcans this season. She posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over Dominican and a 6-0, 6-2 win against Academy of Art.
Osaki is one of six returning players from last season for head coach Kallen Mizuguchi. Julia Barden was 5-8 last season, and Nanami Okamoto was 6-6 for the Vulcans in 2022.
McKenna Mountain of San Diego transferred to Hawaii-Hilo from Saint Katherine, where she helped the Firebirds win two Golden State Athletic Conference championships. Mountain was a first-team All-GSAC selection last year.
Mizuguchi played four seasons with the Vulcans and was All-PacWest third team as a senior. He was ranked in the top three for the 18-and-under division in Hawaii.
Midwestern State is scheduled to play Fresno Pacific at the Munson and Bavougian Tennis Complex in Azusa at noon central time on Thursday.
