WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State faces Southwest Baptist in a non-conference dual at MSU Tennis Center on Friday at 2 p.m. The Mustangs are seeking a sixth consecutive victory overall and hope to remain undefeated at home this season.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State rolled to its fifth consecutive win, while dealing No. 14-ranked St. Mary's its first loss of the season in resounding fashion Saturday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. The Mustangs (6-2, 1-0 LSC) swept doubles play before taking four of the six singles' matches to roll to a convincing 5-2 win. MSU claimed the doubles point for its fifth-straight match against an NCAA Division II opponent ignited by a 6-1 win by Emilija Visic and Skylar Minns over Gabriella Ioannou and Callah Preti at No. 3. Minns survived a tight battle with Alessia Terlizzi for her sixth consecutive win to clinch the match at 7-5, 7-5.

MUSTANGS IN THE ITA RANKINGS | Junior Anda Ghinga is the lone Midwestern State player carrying a singles ranking coming in at No. 45 nationally and at No. 6 in the South Central Region rankings. The Mustangs boast three doubles in the South Central Region rankings including Skylar Minns and Micaela McSpadden at No. 2, Emilija Visic and Hannah Yip at No. 7, and Alice Di Matteo and Kanaha Furutani at No. 10.
