WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State hosts Southwest Baptist at MSU Tennis Center on Friday at 2 p.m. The Mustangs are seeking their third straight win overall and a fourth consecutive victory over the Bearcats.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State rolled to a 6-1 win over St. Mary's in its Lone Star Conference opener Saturday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. MSU got off to a strong start by sweeping doubles play ignited by a 6-1 win by Charles Heffernan and Killian Guillou over Sebastian Azcui and Aaron Anton at the No. 3 position. Guillou breezed past Jake Faryniarz, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6 singles, and Heffernan defeated Daniel Baldor at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-1. German Setti won a super tiebreak over Oskar Irdoja at No. 4 singles. Juan David Duque was well on his way to a straight-set win at the No. 5 position holding a 6-2, 4-1 advantage when Nicolas Llosa was forced to retire due to injury.

MUSTANGS IN THE ITA RANKINGS | The Mustangs boast four student-athletes in the November release of the South Central Region. Senior Charles Heffernan is ranked seventh, followed by Juan David Duque at No. 8, Marcal Miret Avante at No. 13, and Germano Setti at No. 18. As a team, MSU received votes in the most recent ITA poll released on Feb. 17.
