WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State hosts Southwest Baptist at MSU Tennis Center on Friday at 2 p.m. The Mustangs are seeking their third straight win overall and a fourth consecutive victory over the Bearcats.
LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State rolled to a 6-1 win over St. Mary's in its Lone Star Conference opener Saturday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. MSU got off to a strong start by sweeping doubles play ignited by a 6-1 win by
Charles Heffernan and
Killian Guillou over Sebastian Azcui and Aaron Anton at the No. 3 position. Guillou breezed past Jake Faryniarz, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6 singles, and Heffernan defeated Daniel Baldor at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-1. German Setti won a super tiebreak over Oskar Irdoja at No. 4 singles.
Juan David Duque was well on his way to a straight-set win at the No. 5 position holding a 6-2, 4-1 advantage when Nicolas Llosa was forced to retire due to injury.
