WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State hosts a pair of junior college powerhouses Saturday at the MSU Tennis Center.

The Mustangs take on NJCAA No. 2-ranked Cowley College at 10 a.m. before squaring off with No. 8-ranked Collin College at 3 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State improved to 3-2 with a 4-3 win over defending NJCAA national champion Tyler Junior College on the road on Friday. The Mustangs won four singles matches to beat the Apaches for the third time in 10 tries. Amelia Lawson, Hannah Yip, Alice Di Matteo, and Skylar Minns came through with singles wins after the Mustangs dropped the doubles' point for the first time this season.

MUSTANGS IN THE ITA RANKINGS | Junior Anda Ghinga is the lone Midwestern State player carrying a singles ranking coming in at No. 45 nationally and at No. 6 in the South Central Region rankings. The Mustangs boast three doubles in the South Central Region rankings including Skylar Minns and Micaela McSpadden at No. 2, Emilija Visic and Hannah Yip at No. 7, and Alice Di Matteo and Kanaha Furutani at No. 10.

QUICK SERVES | Junior Skylar Minns has been up in each of her five matches this season and is 3-0 in completed singles matches... Seniors Amelia Lawson has won her last two matches at No. 1 singles including a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win over NJCAA No. 2-ranked Zoi Spyrou Friday at Tyler JC... Senior Alice DiMatteo has also won two straight at No. 3 singles after beating TJC's No. 16-ranked Yeva Kramarova, 6-3, 6-2...
