LAST TIME OUT | Angelo State outscored the Mustangs 16-2 over a 5:11 stretch in the second period to break open a close game, and the Rambelles extended their winning streak to eight games with an 85-65 victory at Junell Center/Stephens Arena on Thursday night. Sawyer Lloyd scored 20 points and made six steals for the Rambelles. MSU junior Natalie Stice matched a season high by burying four 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 20 points. It was her third 20-point effort of the season. Senior guard Markayla Johnson scored a career-high 13 points going 5-for-7 from the floor with a 3-pointer. The Huntsville native added two rebounds and two steals. MSU freshman Dyamon Griggs finished with eight points and six rebounds in 22 minutes. Angelo State outrebounded the Mustangs 45-33 which is only second time this season that MSU lost the battle of the boards by 10 or more.
