LAST MEETING | Midwestern State snapped the Lady Chaps' 12-set winning streak with a first-set victory, but LCU won the match in four sets at D.L. Ligon Coliseum 25-17, 13-25, 18-25, 17-25. Lubbock Christian recorded 13 blocks on its way to a fifth-straight victory. Reagan Willms had a double-double for the Mustangs with 17 assists and 10 digs. Kaitlynn Stoker of the Mustangs led all players with 14 kills in the match. Autumn Roach had 22 assists for Midwestern. Lauryn Bourne finished the match with 15 digs, seven kills and an ace for the Maroon & Gold. Amy DeWalt added 14 digs and six assists in the loss. Hannah Froeschl led the Lady Chaps with eight kills, seven block assists and an ace. Sage Post had 10 kills in the victory.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern narrowly missed snapping a long losing streak in its series with Angelo State, but the Rambelles survived in five sets to win their 26 consecutive match against the Mustangs, 25-21, 17-25, 17-25, 25-22, 16-18. The Mustangs played at a high level in the fourth set to force the decisive fifth set. Midwestern State hit .306 with 17 kills and just six errors on 36 attacks. The Mustangs enjoyed two four-point runs in the penultimate set and won four of the last five points, including kills from Taylor Anderson and Ell as well as a service ace from Autumn Roach. The Maroon & Gold continued to play at an exceptional level in the fifth set by hitting .414 with 14 kills and just two errors in 29 attacks. Aaliyah Burras had 14 kills on 24 attacks and hit .542 with six blocks in the match. Kelli Ell finished the match with 15 kills on 40 attacks and hit .300 for the Mustangs.
