WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State rolled up 597 yards of total offense and registered the most lopsided loss in program history in a 77-0 rout of Simon Fraser Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.
But that wasn't even the most impressive stat of the night.
Even if the Red Leafs were permitted to convert each offensive yard gained into a point, they would would have lost.
The Mustangs' defense held Simon Fraser to its fewest yards since Oklahoma Panhandle State managed just 46 yards during the 2000 season. The Red Leafs were held to two first downs and 61 total yards on 43 plays.

Peyton Shaw accounted for three touchdowns scoring on runs (2, 4) in the second and third quarters before pouncing on a blocked punt to tack on another TD at hte end of the third quarter.

Braxton Ash spearheaded MSU's 377-yard rushing attack by running for 150 yards on 19 carries in a reserve role and added touchdown runs of 45 and 5 yards.

Devin Cross tacked on 11 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns, while Shaw closed tiwht 80 yards on 13 carries.
Senior quarterback Dillon Sterling-Col completed 11-of-14 passes for 126 yards including a 35-yard strike to JaJuan Mason in the second quarter.

Antonio Brunson led the MSU defense with five tackles and an interception, while
Maurice Perkins also picked off a pass.
Midwestern State takes on Western New Mexico Saturday night in Ben Altamirano Field in Silver City. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (Central Time).
