Oklahoma Christian visits MSU for battle of unbeatens

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - - Midwestern State hosts Oklahoma Christian Wednesday at 7 p.m. for a non-conference match at Stang Park. Midwestern State is unbeaten in its first six matches following a 1-1 draw with West Texas A&M in a non-conference match at Canyon on Sept. 14.

SERIES HISTORY | MSU leads, 18-1-1

LAST MEETING | Mere Escobar scored on a penalty kick in the 106th minute, and Midwestern State defeated the Eagles in double-overtime, 3-2. The match was scoreless in the first half. John Osadolar Ighede scored in the 48th minute to give OC the lead. MSU scored twice in a 90-second span. Escobar scored in the 60th minute, and assisted Trevor Amann in the 62nd minute. Oklahoma Christian forced overtime when Osadolor Ighede scored his second goal of the game in the 87th minute. Goalkeeper Marc-Antoine Huzen made four saves in the victory for the Mustangs. Anthony Trabichet had one save for the Eagles.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State ended a three-match losing streak in its series with West Texas A&M but had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Rory Doyle cracked a one-timer from 12 yards out, assisted by Sulahmana Bah, to give MSU a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute at The Pitch in Canyon, but the Buffaloes scored the equalizer in the 81st minute.
