KEARNEY, Nebraska -- Midwestern State closes play at the Nebraska-Kearney Fall Classic Saturday taking on No. 2 Washburn (Kan.) and Minot State at the Health and Sports Center.

Last Meeting | No. 16 Washburn blistered Midwestern State by hitting .295 on the way to a 25-6, 25-19, 25-23 win on Sept. 2, 2016 in the Washburn Invitational at Lee Arena. Aerielle Edwards led the Mustangs with 10 kills, while Sarah Garfield had nine.

Notables | Midwestern State faces its second straight ranked opponent after falling in three sets to No. 10 Nebraska-Kearney on  Friday... Washburn also carried a national ranking into the previous four meetings with the Mustangs and were at No. 9 in 2008, No. 6 in 2009, No. 5 in 2011, and No. 16 in 2016... Washburn opened the tournament with sweeps over Central Washington and Minot State... Last Meeting | Minot State's Shelby Spuller registered a match-high 17 kills to lead the Beavers to a 25-18, 14-25, 27-25, 25-23 win over Midwestern State in the Nebraska-Kearney Fall Classic on Sept. 1, 2018 at the Health and Sports Center. Raven Presley notched 14 kills to lead the Mustangs, while Erin Richburg had 11 kills and nine digs.

TRACKING THE MUSTANGS

- Stephanie Radecki is the 10th head coach in Midwestern State program history. Radecki enjoyed a masterful run in 14 seasons at North Alabama (2004-17) making nine appearances in the NCAA Division II South Regionals finishing as national runners-up in 2006. Overall, Radecki boasts a 377-242 record (.609) including one season at Saint Leo (2003) and four campaigns at Division I Southern Miss (2018-21).
- Freshman outside hitter Sadie Portmann tops the Mustangs averaging 2.67 kills per set opening the campaign with 10 kills against Sioux Falls.
- Senior Aaliyah Burras averages 2.50 kills per set with a .195 hitting percentage, while sophomore Kelli Ell adds 2.17 kills per set hitting a team high .250.
- Sophomore Amy DeWalt leads back row efforts averaging 4.00 digs per set, while sophomore Alex Serna registered four total blocks against Nebraska-Kearney.
