Midwestern State closes Rocky Mountain road trip Saturday against Orediggers

DENVER -- Midwestern State battles Colorado School of Mines Saturday afternoon at Stermole Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. (Central Time).

Last Meeting | No. 20 Colorado School of Mines rallied from a two-goal halftime to deficit to take a 3-2 win over Midwestern State in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Championships on Nov. 19, 2021 at UCCS Mountain Lion Stadium. Elise Putnam netted the game winner in the 100th minute.

Notables | Midwestern State makes its third overall appearance at Stermole Soccer Stadium and first since falling 2-1 in overtime to Metro State in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Division II Championships... Former All American Kari Bristow lifted MSU to its lone win over the Orediggers in 2008 by converting a penalty kick in the 98th minute of overtime for a 2-1 victory... - Seniors Nicole Marsolek and Alexandria Sandlin combined for 36 starts on the back line in 2021.
- Redshirt-sophomore Lexi Jackson is poised to make her first start between the posts this weekend. Jackson's lone playing time came in 28 minutes at Dallas Baptist in the pandemic shortened spring campaign in 2021.
