No. 22 Midwestern State guns for 2-0 Saturday against Regis

LAREDO, Texas -- No. 22 Midwestern State looks to polish off a sweep of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foes in its TAMIU Classic finale at Dustdevil Soccer field.

The Mustangs take on Regis Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.

Last Meeting | Mark Kelly scored in the 100th minute to lift Regis to a 2-1 win over Midwestern State in the third round of the NCAA Division II Championships on Nov. 22, 2013 at the RU Match Pitch.

Notables | Midwestern State and Regis meet for the first time in nearly nine years and for the first time at a neutral site... The Mustangs improved 9-5-2 against ranked opposition during the Michael Meachum era (since 2018) with a 3-2 win over No. 9 Colorado Mesa on Thursday... Regis scored a goal off of a restart in the 62nd minute and added a penalty kick in the 67th minute to survive Texas A&M International Thursday night... Fifth-year senior Gavin Scott tallied his 32nd collegiate goal Thursday night against Colorado Mesa. It was his first as a Mustang following a successful four-year run at Union (Tenn.)... Senior Brandon Martinez-Trelles provided the opener for the Mustangs which was second in 17 matches at Midwestern State. The other came against Lubbock Christian last season...
