Midwestern State to play six home games as part of 11-game football slate

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Defending Lone Star Conference champion Midwestern State announced an 11-game schedule for the 2022 season Tuesday morning including six games at Memorial Stadium.

The Mustangs open the home slate against a pair of non-conference NCAA Division II opponents welcoming Colorado State-Pueblo (Sept. 3) and Michigan Tech (Sept. 17) to Wichita Falls.

Midwestern State is set to play nine Lone Star Conference games including three against affiliate league members out of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

The Mustangs face Simon Fraser (Sept. 24), West Texas A&M (Oct. 8), Western Oregon (Oct. 29) and Angelo State (Nov. 12) in league games at Memorial Stadium.

MSU will travel a total of 7,460 round-trip miles to play Lone Star Conference games at Eastern New Mexico (Sept. 10), Western New Mexico (Oct. 1), Central Washington (Oct. 15), UT Permian Basin (Oct. 22) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (Nov. 5).

Season ticket information and special events will be released in the coming months. All league games stream live over the Lone Star Conference Digital Network.

The 32nd Annual Maroon & Gold Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 9 at Memorial Stadium. The game kicks off at 6 p.m.
