TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Midwestern State's
Ashley Turner delivered her second collegiate two-homer game Sunday afternoon at RiverHawks Park, but it wasn't to avert a Northeastern State sweep.
The RiverHawks needed just five inning to beat MSU 10-2 in the opener, then rallied for an 8-5 win in the nightcap.
Northeastern State improved to 9-6 on the season, while Midwestern State dropped to 1-10.

Northeastern State struck a pair of big blows in a decisive nine-run third inning to roll to a 10-2 run-rule win over Midwestern State in Game 1 Sunday afternoon at RiverHawks Park.
The RiverHawks improved to 8-6 on the season while sending the Mustangs (1-9) to their seventh straight loss.
TURNING POINT
Northeastern State unloaded the bases twice during a nine-run third inning.
Addy Wolfe launched a grand slam for her second home run of the season to give the RiverHawks a 5-2 lead.
Then after a pair of bases loaded walks, Chloe Bohuslavicky delivered a three-run double later in inning to push the NSU lead to 10-2.

Bailey Brenek's fifth double of the season drove in
Payton Griffin for the first run of the game in the top of the second inning.
- Freshman
Peyton Lee delivered a single up the middle to plate Brenek and give MSU a 2-0 lead.

Hanna Hetherington accounted for singles to fill out MSU's four-hit attack.
- Sophomore
Addi Hanna took the loss for MSU to fall to 0-4. The lefty allowed nine runs on eight hits while walking four in 2 2/3 innings.
- Northeastern State's Jaeden Rosenquist legged out three hits and scored two runs to lead the RiverHawks' attack.

Midwestern State's
Ashley Turner hit homers in her first two at bats to stake the Mustangs to a 5-0 lead in the second inning in Game No. 2 against Northeastern State Sunday afternoon at RiverHawks Park.
But NSU answered used the long ball to put five runs in the third, another fifth and two more in the sixth to put away the Mustangs and earn the sweep.
TURNING POINT
Jaeden Rosenquist hit a solo home run with two outs in the fifth inning to give Northeastern State its first lead of the game, then Addy Wolfe drilled her second home run of the afternoon on a two-run shot an inning later to give the RiverHawks the deciding three-run advantage.
NSU's Sydney Balderrama keyed a five-run third inning with a three-run home run to help the RiverHawks erase an early 5-0 deficit.
Savannah Evans ensure Northeastern State kept the lead with five hitless inning of relief to earn the win in the circle.

Ashley Turner launched a leadoff homer in the first inning and blasted a two-run shot in the second inning. It was her first two-homer game since hitting two against Nebraska-Kearney on Feb. 5, 2021.
- Turner has reached base in all 11 games this season. She has reached in 17 straight games dating back to the 2021 season.

Paige Bryant (home) and freshman
Maci Sanders (second base) combined for a double steal in the second inning to net a run for the Mustangs in the second inning. Sanders then stole her third base of the season in the fourth inning.

Kennedy Cameron took her third loss of the season in the circle allowing eight runs on 13 hits in six innings. She fanned a season-high nine RiverHawks.
- Northeastern State's Sydney Balderrama went 4-for-4 including a three-run homer in the third inning. It was her fourth home run of the season.
- NSU sophomore Jaeden Rosenquist's first collegiate homer gave the RiverHawks their first lead of the game in the fifth inning. She finished the game going 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
NOTABLES
- Midwestern State lost to Northeastern State in Tahlequah for the first time since 2008.
- The Mustangs have dropped eight consecutive games for the first time since MSU posted a pair of program long nine-game losing streaks in 2020.

Midwestern State takes on No. 16 Central Oklahoma in a home opening twin bill Wednesday afternoon at Mustangs Park. First pitch for the Game No. 1 is set for 3 p.m., while the nightcap follows at 5.
