LAST MEETING | Midwestern State went a man down in the 23rd minute at Eagle Soccer Field. Oklahoma Christian took full advantage of its good fortune cashing in for a 2-1 win over the Mustangs. MSU's Darryl Walsh was shown a red card after taking down OC sophomore forward Isaias Silva an opportunity to score in the 23rd minute leading to a successful penalty kick conversion by Joep Claassen. Midwestern State struck back with a short-handed goal in the 30th minute off the right foot of sophomore Max Gonzales on an assist from Rory Doyle. Silva provided the winning margin with an unassisted goal in the 54th minute.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State overcame adversity to eliminate Dallas Baptist in penalty kicks in the semifinal round of the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament Friday night at Sigma Beta Chi Field. They exchanged goals in regulation and in overtime to play to a 2-2 draw before the Mustangs came away 3-1 in penalties to advance to a conference championship match for the seventh consecutive year. "Being the No. 6 seed has humbled us a bit," MSU senior Brandon Martinez-Trelles said. "But no one wants to face MSU in the LSC tournament and we have a title to defend." MSU sophomore goalkeeper Adam Braman made two saves and DBU sent another over the bar, while Gavin Scott, Mere Escobar, and Rory Doyle all converted penalty opportunities for the advancing Mustangs.
