LAREDO, Texas -- Sophomore Lexi Beck scored her first goal of the season to help Midwestern State earn a 1-1 draw against Texas A&M International Saturday afternoon at Dustdevil Field.
The Mustangs move to 4-5-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in Lone Star Conference play, while the tie extends TAMIU's winless streak to eight matches as the Dustdevils went to 3-5-2 and 0-3-2.
Beck's opportunity resulted off of a corner kick in the 57th minute.

Senna Garcia's serve into the box was cleared to the right attack channel and collected by sophomore forward
Isabella Cruz.
Cruz cross the ball back into the area which was headed down by a Dustdevil defender right t to Beck's feet.
Beck lobbed a chip over the goalkeepers head high into left corner of the net for the equalizer.
Texas A&M International controlled the run of play in the opening half with a 7-3 edge in shots.
The Dustdevils scored the opener on Andrea Castellanos' corner kick serve to the far post which was headed in by Marta Forne in the 26th minute of the opening half.
TAMIU threatened to push the advantage to two goals in the 40th minute when Stefanie Petrova threaded a through ball to the middle of the box onto the feet of Krysan St. Louis.
But MSU sophomore goalkeeper
Lexi Jackson made a one-on-one save to keep the deficit at 1-0 heading into intermission.
The Mustangs played TAMIU on level terms in the second half as each team was credited with seven shots.
Jackson made a season-high eight saves and faced 15 shots.
Midwestern State takes on UT Permian Basin Wednesday night at Stang Park. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
