WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State moves to a perfect 4-0 in Lone Star Conference play after beating Western New Mexico in a double header on Sunday, March 7, at Mustangs Park. The team scored ten runs in both games and held the visitors to just seven and two runs.

At 11-3, this is MSU Softball's best record through 14 games since 2011 when they went 13-1.

The team held Western New Mexico scoreless in the sixth and added three more runs themselves. Tyler sent in her second home run of the game and of the year. She and A. Turner scored. Brenek's double up the middle allowed Henry to put in the final run. The game ended 10-7 with a MSU victory.

K. Turner pitched for the second game of the double header. Neither team scored in the first inning nor could WNM get on the board in the second.
