ALBUQUERQUE -- Midwestern State's Beatrice Perucchini twice matched her career low score to claim her first collegiate win Tuesday in the Nick Turner Invitational at Arroyo del Oso Golf Course.

The junior from Varese, Italy fired consecutive, 1-under 71s to win by two strokes over Texas A&M International's Yuliana Yapur (73-71 144/E). The scores were Perucchini's second and third par-or-better tallies in 12 competition rounds this season.

The effort helped the Mustangs to a third-place team showing against a challenging regional field. MSU posted team totals of 300 and 302 for a 26-over 602 placing behind Arkansas-Fort Smith (296-300 596/+20) and UC Colorado Springs (298-300 598/+22).

Perucchini became the second Midwestern State golfer in as many weeks to claim top individual medalist honors. It was her third Top 10 finish this season.

Last week's winner -- Juanita Gomez -- delivered another top performance finishing tied for fifth with a 3-over total of 147 carding scores of 74 and 73.

Freshman Brecklyn Flanagan logged a pair of team countable scores to finish in a tie for 31st with a 12-over total of 156 carding scores of 75 and 81, while sophomore Mason Garrett (81-77 158/+14) tied for 37th.

Freshman Makenna Henry tied for 58th with a 21-over tally of 165 carding an 80 and 85.

Midwestern State closes the fall campaign with three top three team finishes and a .615 team finish percentage.
