NORMAN, Okla. – The Mustangs square off with the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist on Friday night. First serve is slated for 5 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
Midwestern State leads the all-time series 5-2 and the Mustangs have rattled off four straight victories. Last year, MSU Texas came away with a 7-0 win in Wichita Falls.
MONEY MUNIZ
After opening the season with a loss at No. 5,
Jean Muniz has come away with three straight wins. The junior upended Carlos Castillo of Cowley County 6-5, 7-6 on Thursday to extend his winning streak.
BRADSHAW'S BRILLIANCE
Brice Bradshaw ran his season record to 3-0 at the No. 6 line with a straight set win on Thursday. The Hoover, Alabama native has yet to drop a set this season.
SCOUTING THE BISON
Oklahoma Bison snapped a mini two-game slide to start the season with a 7-0 win against Texas A&M-Texarkana. Both of OBU's losses to start the season came against Division I competition (SMU & UT-Arlington). Bruno Suiama, who is off to a 1-2 start at No. 1 singles, is ranked No. 22 in the country.
CATCHING UP WITH COACH LINN
Scott Linn enters his
10th season at the helm of the Midwestern State men's and women's tennis teams. Since arriving in the fall of 2010, Linn coached teams have made 15 total NCAA Tournament appearances.
