ALLEN, Texas – The 15th ranked Midwestern State Mustangs (2-0) upended Hardin (Ark.), 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at Allen High School.

"Really good team effort," MSU Texas Head Coach Scott Linn said. "Returners playing different spots in singles and doubles from last year all owned their spots. Much more commitment to what we do each day in practice in singles and doubles."

The tandem of Casie Curry/Lea Cizeron opened the match with a 6-2 victory over Emily Carpenter/Allison Carpenter. Emilija Segetlija/Juliette Mary clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win over Jordan Shaw/Lindy Carpenter. The win came right before Rylie Cox/Hana Fox upended the duo of Emilija Visic/Ashley Ramirez at the flight one doubles line. 
 
"I think Emilija Segetlija and Juliette Mary did a fantastic job for us at doubles," Linn said. "Their training really showed up today."

MSU Texas rattled off two straight singles wins, with Visic cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 win over A. Carpenter and Ramirez defeating L. Carpenter 7-5, 6-3. 

The Bisons (1-2) scored their first point of the match when Cox upset No. 43 Curry, 5-7, 6-1, 6-0. 

The Mustangs got back on track with singles wins by Mary and Segetlija.
