LAWTON, Okla. – Midwestern State used full-court pressure and a deep, balanced attack to bury Cameron 98-75 in the season opener Friday night at Aggie Gym.

Justin Leslie said. "The energy was fantastic and the depth is easy to see. We have a lot of guys who can really play."
The Mustangs and Aggies close the two-game set with another game Saturday afternoon in Lawton. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
MSU combined for 15 steals and pushed the Aggies into 18 turnovers to take a 33-17 in points off of turnovers.
Freshmen guards
Pierre Sanders and
Rommell Williams led a pack of six players in double figures tallying 15 points each.
"These guys come in with a chip on their shoulders," Leslie said. "They come in every day and make mistakes, but they don't make that same mistake twice. They a very mature approach."
Sanders, a Hutto High graduate, added eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals to an impressive stat line, while Williams – a Mayde Creek High product – also paced the team with six steals.
The game was never in doubt for the Mustangs who took a 47-29 lead into intermission and led by as many as 32 points in the second half.
Junior transfer
Derrick Ogechi, who boasted a team-best plus-25, drilled four triples to finish with 12 points. He was matched by junior forwards
Jermane Carter (eight rebounds) and
Jalin Brown (six rebounds).
Sophomore
Terrell Wilson connected on two 3s to finish with 10 points.
Brock Schreiner and Marques Warrior scored 11 points each to pace the Aggies.
