WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State looks to complete a Red River Rivalry sweep when they head north to Lawton, Oklahoma on Saturday for a meeting with Cameron. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Elizabeth Cathcart and Mica Schneider each scored career-highs, with 23 points and 22 points respectively, as MSU Texas erased a 12-point halftime deficit in an 84-77 Lone Star Conference win over Cameron on Wednesday night. Kityana Diaz chipped in with eight points and five steals. The Mustangs outscored the rival Aggies 52-33 in the second half.
 
PLAYOFF RACE HEATING UP
Midwestern State moved into playoff positioning with Wednesday's win over Cameron. The Mustangs (6-7, 4-5) sit in a tie for 10th place in the Lone Star Conference, with the top 12 teams qualifying for the postseason. UT Tyler is ineligible for postseason play as they transition from Division III to Division II.

SERIES HISTORY

Midwestern State improved to 47-29 all-time against the Aggies with an 84-77 win on Wednesday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
 
SENIOR SCORING
Elizabeth Cathcart (23 points) and Mica Schneider (22 points) each scored season-highs as Midwestern State overcame a 12-point halftime deficit in an 84-77 win on January 15. Cathcart scored 13 of her 23 points in the second half and has now scored in double figures in 11 games. Schneider scored 11 of her 22 points in the final 20 minutes of action and tied a career-high with four three-pointers.
 
DIAZ DAZZLES AGAIN
Kityana Diaz scored eight points and recorded a season-high five steals in Wednesday's rivalry win over Cameron. The junior is averaging 10.5 PPG over her last two games.
 
CASHING IN AT THE FREE THROW LINE
The Mustangs set season-highs in both free throws made and attempted in Wednesday's game against Cameron. MSU Texas shot 23-of-37 from the charity stripe and have made at least 15 free throws in each of their last four games.   

CATCHING UP WITH COACH JOHNSON
Noel Johnson is in her 12th season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Basketball team. Last season, Johnson led MSU to a 12-16 (9-11) mark and a sixth place finish in the Lone Star Conference South Division. Overall, the Mustangs have compiled a 157-161 (.494) record under Johnson's guidance. She became the winningest coach in program history on December 19, 2017 when MSU beat Texas A&M-Kingsville 72-66 to land her 133rd career victory.
 
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
Maighan Hedge scored 28 points, her second straight game with at least 28 points, but Cameron was outscored 52-33 in the second half in an 84-77 loss to Midwestern State on Wednesday. Ava Battese chipped in with 15 points for the Aggies who dropped to 5-10 (4-5) with the loss. Offensively, CU averages 70.0 points per game, the fourth most in the LSC. The Aggies have the league's worst scoring defense, allowing 81.4 PPG.
