WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Winless over their last six games, Midwestern State looks to break the slide on Thursday night when Lone Star Conference foe Angelo State comes to town. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Midwestern State owns a 16-14-7 record against Angelo State but the Mustangs have dropped the last four meetings, all of which have been decided by one goal.
 
MORLOCK'S MAGIC RIGHT FOOT
Imani Morlock scored her first goal of the season on Saturday, blasting one home from 35-yards out. Morlock became the sixth different Mustang to find the back of the net this season. 
 
CARVAJAL'S CANNON
Although Valentina Carvajal has not scored a goal this year, the junior leads the team in shots with 13. Carvajal collected her first assist of the year in Saturday's loss to No. 19 Dallas Baptist.
 
STUCK IN NEUTRAL
After a season opening win over New Mexico Highlands, the Mustangs have gone winless over their last six games (0-5-1) and have lost four straight.
 
SPENDING TIME WITH SPENCE
Ryan Spence opened his second season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Soccer team with a 3-2 overtime win over New Mexico Highlands on September 6. In his first year in charge, the Mustangs finished 2-13-3 and 1-9-2 in Lone Star Conference action, earning a trip to the quarterfinals in the LSC Postseason Tournament.
 
SCOUTING THE BELLES
Angelo State saw their three-match win streak halted last Saturday with a 3-3 draw against Texas A&M International University. The Belles' 5-1-1 mark is the second time in three seasons they have won five of their first seven games. Valerie Solis (four goals, three assists) has a team-high 11 points to pace the Belles offensively. In net, sophomore Kira Miller possesses a 0.84 GAA, as the sophomore has allowed just six goals this season (53 shots faced).
 
UP NEXT
MSU Texas plays host to St. Edward's on Saturday, October 5 in a Lone Star Conference match. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
