LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 13 Midwestern State looks to continue their winning ways on Thursday against Lubbock Christian in a Lone Star Conference game. Kickoff from the LCU Soccer Field is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
 
SERIES HISTORY
MSU leads the all-time series 3-0-2. The Mustangs won last year's matchup in Lubbock, 3-1. 

LAMPE LIGHTS UP RECORD BOOKS
Taylor Lampe broke the program record for career shutouts with the 22 clean sheet of his career on Saturday against then No. 4 West Texas A&M. Lampe passed Raul Herrera (2005, 2009-2010). The Mansfield, Texas native is 6-1 this year with five shutouts.

CONWAY CREATING CHANCES
Adam Conway scored the game-winning goal in MSU's 3-0 win over then No. 4 West Texas A&M last Saturday. The sophomore defender leads the Mustangs with three tallies. Defensively, Conway has anchored a Midwestern State defense that has won back-to-back games via shutout.
 
VENEGAS VICTIMIZING DEFENSES
Sebastian Venegas scored his first two goals of the season on September 26 against Oklahoma Christian before adding an assist on September 28 against West Texas A&M. 

IN THE RANKINGS
MSU Texas catapulted six spots, to No. 13 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll that was released on Tuesday. The Mustangs have appeared in the last 56 USC rankings as a ranked side dating back to the 2014 season and have received votes in the last 68 rankings dating back to 2013.
 
A MINUTE WITH MEACHUM
Michael Meachum kicked off his second year as Head Coach at Midwestern State with a 2-0 win over Dixie State on September 5 at Stang Park. Meachum posted a 16-1-3 mark in his first season at the helm.
 
SCOUTING THE CHAPARRALS
After starting the season with four straight wins, Lubbock Christian has dropped two of three. Last Thursday, the Chaparrals ended a two-game slide with a 3-2 win over UT Permian Basin. Fernando Flores is second in the Lone Star Conference with six goals.

MSU Texas travels to Odessa, Texas on Saturday, October 5 for a Lone Star Conference affair against UT Permian Basin. Match time is 1 p.m.
