WEATHERFORD, Oklahoma – A quieter week awaits Midwestern State University after a recent stretch of three games in six days. MSU Texas heads to the Sooner State on Tuesday, September 17 for a non-conference game against Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Match time is slated for 4 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
The Mustangs are 15-1 against Southwestern Oklahoma State and have never lost a game in Weatherford (8-0). Last season's meeting at Stang Park was recorded as a no contest due to multiple lightning delays. MSU led 1-0 at the 33:53 mark of the second half.

Alyssa Salinas had quite the home opener on September 11, tying the game at 1-1 in the 54
th minute with the first collegiate goal of her career. Against Emporia State on September 13, the freshman recorded three shots while logging a career-high 65 minutes.
SPENDING TIME WITH SPENCE
Ryan Spence opened his second season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Soccer team with a 3-2 overtime win over New Mexico Highlands on September 6. In his first year in charge, the Mustangs finished 2-13-3 and 1-9-2 in Lone Star Conference action, earning a trip to the quarterfinals in the LSC Postseason Tournament.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
After three straight road games to begin the season, Southwestern Oklahoma State finally gets a chance to play in front of the home fans on Tuesday afternoon. Last season, the Bulldogs posted a 7-2 mark at the SWOSU Athletic Complex. Last time out, SWOSU fell to Lubbock Christian University, 2-1. Both of the Bulldogs' losses this season have come by one goal. Sandra Nabweteme leads the squad with four goals and has found the back of the net in every game this season.

The Mustangs will have nine days between games as the start of the Lone Star Conference schedule does not begin until September 26. MSU Texas will open the conference schedule against Texas Woman's University. Match time is 7 p.m. from Pioneer Field.
