WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Following a two-game road trip to open the season, the Midwestern State University Women's Soccer team plays their first home game of the season on Wednesday night against Oklahoma Baptist. Match time is slated for 5 p.m. from Stang Park.
 
SERIES HISTORY
This is the 5th meeting all-time between the two programs. After winning the first three head-to-head matchups, Midwestern State dropped a 2-0 affair to the Bison last season. 
 
CLUTCH CANNISTRA
Kelly Cannistra has opened the 2019 season on a mission, recording goals in back-to-back games. The junior midfielder scored the game-winning goal in overtime in the Mustangs season opening win on September 6, before scoring the only MSU tally in a loss to Fort Lewis on September 8. Cannistra also logged an assist in the win over New Mexico Highlands.
 
MONEY MORLOCK
A first-team All Lone Star Conference performer in 2018, Imani Morlock kicked off the 2019 season in style, registering two assists in the season opener.
 
SPENDING TIME WITH SPENCE
Ryan Spence opened his second season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Soccer team with a 3-2 overtime win over New Mexico Highlands on September 6. In his first year in charge, the Mustangs finished 2-13-3 and 1-9-2 in Lone Star Conference action, earning a trip to the quarterfinals in the LSC Postseason Tournament.
 
SCOUTING THE BISON
Oklahoma Baptist suffered their first defeat of the season on September 7, falling to No. 17 Dallas Baptist, 2-1. Through two games, Reagan Mann leads the Bison with two goals. Last season, Oklahoma Baptist posted 15 wins, making it the third straight year they achieved the feat. The 2018 squad made their first trip to the Division II Central Regional after winning the Great American Conference tournament.

Another home game for the Maroon and Gold as they welcome Emporia State to Stang Park on Friday, September 13. Match time is 7 p.m.
