Storylines
First Serve
Midwestern State closes out a six-match homestand with a pair of top 10 clashes and a Lone Star Conference showdown with Tarleton State. The Mustangs take on No. 8 Central Oklahoma on Thursday at 2 p.m. before hosting No. 5 Washburn at 3 p.m. on Sunday. MSU closes the home regular season against the No. 33-ranked TexAnns on Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
MSU Texas recorded its 500th win in program history as Juliette Mary won a second-set tiebreaker to clinch a 4-3 win against Oklahoma Baptist.
 
MSU Collects 500th Program Win
Midwestern State collected win No. 500 in program history on Tuesday against Oklahoma Baptist. The Mustangs (500-333-3) became the seventh MSU program to eclipse the 500-win plateau.
 
Doubles Decider
The doubles point has proved to be decisive for the Mustangs this season. MSU Texas is 11-0 when grabbing the early edge and 3-5 when falling into a hole.
 
After dropping the point in seven-straight, the Maroon and Gold have taken the point in six of the last seven contests.
 
Mustangs Start Rankings Climb
Midwestern State jumped up 12 spots to No. 23 in Wednesday's Oracle/ITA National Team rankings following a 3-0 week with wins over No. 40 Dallas Baptist, No. 34 Texas A&M-Kingsville and Oklahoma Baptist.
 
Freshman Casie Curry made her career debut in the singles rankings at No. 60 while the duo of juniors Ashley Ramirez and Bianca Duff came in at No. 50.
 
Best to Ever Do It
Senior Greta Lazzarotto supplanted herself atop the MSU Texas career wins chart on Sunday against Texas A&M-Kingsville, passing Lacey Wuthrich (2002-05) with win No. 139. Lazzarotto bested Phoephathep Philavong, 6-1, 6-3, in singles to break the record.
 
The Italian passed Brooke Gray (2000-03) for the most career doubles wins on March 30 against Arkansas-Fort Smith. Partnered with freshman Casie Curry, the tandem closed out a tiebreaker against the Lions to lock up the historic win.
 
Lazzarotto ranks sixth all-time with 55 career singles wins and is 10 away from breaking Wuthrich's program-record of 64.
 
Duff Nears Win No. 100
Junior Bianca Duff collected her 100th career victory in a three-set thriller with Lisa Carvajal at the No. 1 line on Sunday. Duff became the 12th member of the 100-win club, joining teammate Greta Lazzarotto.
