First Serve
Midwestern State starts a six-match homestand on Friday with 40th-ranked Dallas Baptist before continuing on Saturday with a Lone Star Conference clash with 34th-ranked Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
Last Time Out
MSU swept UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico after dropping a 4-3 decision to 21st-ranked Angelo State on the road.
 
MSU Approaches 500th Program Win
Midwestern State is three wins away from its 500th win in program history. The Mustangs 497-333-3 (.598) would become the seventh MSU Texas program to eclipse the 500 win plateau.
 
Rankings Tumble Continues
Midwestern State continued to fall in the Oracle/ITA National Team rankings on Wednesday following a 2-1 week with wins over UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico while dropping a 4-3 decision at now 12th-ranked Angelo State.
 
Best to Ever Do It
Senior Greta Lazzarotto is three combined wins away from passing Lacey Wuthrich (2002-05) for the most career wins in program history. The senior passed Emilee Black (2000-03) for the second-most last Saturday against Western New Mexico.
 
Lazzarotto ranks sixth all-time with 54 career singles wins and is 11 away from breaking Wuthrich's program-record of 64.
 
The Italian passed Brooke Gray (2000-03) for the most career doubles wins on March 30 against Arkansas-Fort Smith. Partnered with freshman Casie Curry, the tandem closed out a tiebreaker against the Lions to lock up the historic win.
 
Duff Nears Win No. 100
Junior Bianca Duff is four wins away from No. 100 in her three-year stint at Midwestern State. The Geelong, Australia, native owns a 40-23 career record in singles and 56-14 mark in doubles.
 
Duff would become the 12th member of MSU Texas' 100-win club, joining teammate Greta Lazzarotto. Currently, the junior ranks 13th on the all-time charts.
