Postseason Scenarios
Midwestern State can climb no higher than the No. 6 seed for the Lone Star Conference postseason tournament set for March 7-10 at the Comerica Center in Frisco.
 
MSU Texas and Texas Woman's are even at 6-10 in LSC play and meet in Wichita Falls on Saturday. The Mustangs claimed a 76-72 win in Denton in the first meeting this season.
 
Western New Mexico and Texas A&M-Kingsville are deadlocked in the Nos. 8-9 seeds with a 5-11 mark, a game back of the Mustangs.
 
Cameron comes into the matchup as the No. 10 team in the standings, but two games out of the No. 6 spot.
 
MSU Texas closes the season with home contests against Cameron, Texas Woman's, Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville over the next two weeks.
 
Johnson Coaches Game No. 300
Noel Johnson coached her 300^th career game at MSU Texas on Saturday against UTPB. In her 11^th season, Johnson became the winningest coach in program history on Dec. 19, 2017 in a 72-66 win at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
Overall, the Mustangs have posted a 148-152 (.493) record under Johnson's guidance with three-straight NCAA Division II South Central Regional berths from 2013-15 and a regional title game appearance during a historic run in 2012-13.
 
Red River Rivalry No. 75
Tuesday marks the 75^th all-time meeting between the Mustangs and Aggies in a series that dates back to MSU Texas' inaugural season in 1975.
 
Both teams have met at least once every season since with the Maroon and Gold owning a 45-29 record, including a 26-9 record at home.
 
The 74 games with the Aggies is the most against a single team in program history, edging out the MSU Texas/West Texas A&M rivalry (72 meetings).
 
Dome Magic
The Mustangs return to the friendly confines of D.L. Ligon Coliseum. After a 3-3 start under the Dome, MSU Texas has won four-straight, picking up wins against UT Permian Basin (79-57), Western New Mexico (80-46), 14^th-ranked West Texas A&M (66-61) and Eastern New Mexico (75-71).
 
The Maroon and Gold average 74.3 points per game at Ligon compared to 63.0 on the road. Defensively MSU Texas is allowing 55.2 points per game at home and 70.8 in road contests.
 
Offensively Speaking
The Mustangs average 68.5 points per game, the seventh highest in the LSC on 40.7 percent shooting. The Maroon and Gold have shot above 40.0 percent in all but three home games this season.

MSU Texas leads the Lone Star Conference and ranks eighth nationally with 5.1 blocks per game. Defensively, the Maroon and Gold are holding opponents to 38.5 percent shooting from the floor this season, the fourth lowest in the LSC.

Reynolds Keeps Climbing
Sophomore forward Hannah Reynolds continues to climb the MSU Texas all-time blocks list. The Prosper native sits at fourth all-time with 87 career rejections. She needs four blocks to pass Rulinda Vogstberger (1978-81) and Dorcas Perkins (1982-84) for the second-most in program history.
