JaJuan Starks poured in a season-high 26 points in Midwestern State's 85-73 loss at Eastern New Mexico earlier this season in Portales. The 'Hounds closed the game on a 9-3 run to push the lead back to double figures after MSU Texas rallied from 13 back to take a 58-54 lead with 12:20 to play. Devin Pullum paced the Greyhounds with 20 points connecting on four 3-pointers off of the bench.
LAST TIME OUT: West Texas A&M's Brandon Hall's near triple-double paced the Buffs to an 87-62 win over Midwestern State Thursday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Hall finished with a game-high 21 points adding nine rebounds and seven assists. HAGGERTY CLAIMS 150TH WIN: Midwestern State boasts a 152-82 mark (.650) in
Nelson Haggerty's eighth season as head coach. He has led the Mustangs to the NCAA postseason in five of his seven seasons including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2012 and four LSC championships in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. Haggerty claimed his second LSC Coach of the Year award in 2016 sharing honors with former Cameron coach Nate Gamet. He also claimed the honor in 2012.
