SERIES HISTORY
Texas Woman's University owns a 33-16 edge over Midwestern State and has won 16 of the last 17 meetings. MSU's only win since 2010 came in September of 2017, a 3-0 victory in Wichita Falls.
PLAYOFF POSITIONING
Midwestern State sits in fourth place in their division, with the top four teams qualifying for the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The Mustangs are 2-5 in the division and hold a 1.5 game edge over Cameron (1-7). The two teams will meet again on November 16 after Cameron won the first meeting, 3-0.
COACH'S CORNER
Valerie Armstrong began her second season as Head Coach of the Midwestern State Volleyball team with a thrilling five-set win over Western State (Colorado) on September 6. In her first season at the helm, the Mustangs posted a 5-23 record and a 3-17 mark in the Lone Star Conference.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Texas Woman's University snapped a two-game slide with a 3-0 win over Midwestern State on Friday night. Tabitha Spray has recorded a season-high 207 kills for the Pioneers, including seven against the Mustangs last night. The Pioneers hit .276 against MSU.
UP NEXT
Midwestern State closes out the regular season with a pair of home matches. First, the Mustangs host Arkansas-Fort Smith on November 15 before taking on Cameron on November 16.
