SERIES HISTORY
MSU leads the series 2-1 but dropped last year's meeting in Arkadelphia, 76-69. The December 29, 2018 meeting was the first between the two schools since November 17, 2000. Prior to the loss, MSU had posted convincing 78-46 and 74-56 victories.

NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN
Midwestern State returns to the floor on Monday night for the first time since November 16, a span of 16 days. It is the longest in-season layoff for the Maroon and Gold since a 16-day stretch during the 2011-2012 season. After defeating Abilene Christian 64-57 on December 19, the Mustangs did not return to the floor until January 4, a 61-60 win over Central Oklahoma. Coincidentally, that season also started with an exhibition game against UT-Arlington.

MILLAR TIME
Sophomore Shawnisay Millar has provided a spark off the bench for the Mustangs, averaging 10.0 PPG. The Prestonpans, Scotland native dropped a season-high 11 points in a 75-68 win over Texas Wesleyan on November 16. Millar shot 4-of-6 from the floor, 3-of-3 from the free throw line, and grabbed four rebounds.

SCORING QUARTET
Through the first three games of the season, Midwestern State has a quartet of players averaging at least 10 points per game: Hannah Reynolds (14.3 PPG), Elizabeth Cathcart (14.3 PPG), Mica Schneider (10.7 PPG), and Shawnisay Millar (10.0 PPG). The four have accounted for 67% of MSU's offense (49.3 PPG/73.3 PPG).

CATCHING UP WITH COACH JOHNSON
Noel Johnson is in her 12th season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Basketball team. Last season, Johnson led MSU to a 12-16 (9-11) mark and a sixth place finish in the Lone Star Conference South Division. Overall, the Mustangs have compiled a 153-155 (.497) record under Johnson's guidance. She became the winningest coach in program history on December 19, 2017 when MSU beat Texas A&M-Kingsville, 72-66.

SCOUTING THE REDDIES
Henderson State rolls into D.L. Ligon Coliseum on a four-game winning streak after slipping past Missouri Southern State 81-78 on November 26. The win improved the Reddies to 5-1, making it the second straight season they have won five of their first six games. Like Midwestern State, four players average at least 10 points per game: Hailey Estes (14.0 PPG), Karrington Whaley (12.7 PPG), Pink Jones (11.5 PPG), and Lani Snowden (11.0 PPG). An honorable mention Great American Conference (GAC) performer last season, Estes is averaging a double-double with 14.0 PPG and 10.0 RPG.
