SERIES HISTORY
Cameron holds a 36-23 edge over Midwestern State after sweeping the Mustangs 3-0 earlier this season. While the Aggies have won two straight meetings, they have not beaten the Mustangs in Wichita Falls since 2015 (three straight losses).
ANDERSON'S ON A ROLL
Taylor Anderson has recorded 10 kills in back-to-back matches, making it the first time since September 29 and October 2 of 2018 the sophomore has collected double digit kills in consecutive matches.
STUCK IN A SLIDE
Midwestern State has dropped six straight matches after a 3-1 loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith on Friday night. Prior to the losing streak, the Mustangs had won four of five.
PLAYOFF POSITIONING
Midwestern State sits in fourth place in their division, with the top four teams qualifying for the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The Mustangs are 2-7 in the division and hold a one game edge on Cameron. The winner of Saturday's matchup will advance to the postseason while the loser will see their season come to an end.
COACH'S CORNER
Valerie Armstrong began her second season as Head Coach of the Midwestern State Volleyball team with a thrilling five-set win over Western State (Colorado) on September 6. In her first season at the helm, the Mustangs posted a 5-23 record and a 3-17 mark in the Lone Star Conference.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
Like Midwestern State, Cameron has dropped six straight matches after being swept 3-0 by Texas Woman's University on Friday. Arianna Navarrete leads CU with 226 kills (2.26 kills per set) while Caitlyn Henderson has been a steady presence at the net, posting a team best 76 blocks. The Aggies swept the Mustangs earlier this season, one of only two conference win on the season.
