BALEY'S BRINGING IT
Emma Baley has scored goals in back-to-back games after failing to score in each of the Mustangs' first 13 games. The sophomore will try on Saturday to become the first MSU women's soccer player to score a goal in three straight games since Destinee Williamson in 2016.
MORLOCK'S MAKING IT HAPPEN
Imani Morlock has recorded three points (one goal, one assist) over her last three games. The senior is third on the team with seven points and paces MSU with 25 shots, including a team-high 14 on goal.
SPENDING TIME WITH SPENCE
Ryan Spence opened his second season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Soccer team with a 3-2 overtime win over New Mexico Highlands on September 6. In his first year in charge, the Mustangs finished 2-13-3 and 1-9-2 in Lone Star Conference action, earning a trip to the quarterfinals in the LSC Postseason Tournament.
RETURNING TO PORTALES
MSU Head Coach
Ryan Spence spent the 2017 season in charge of Eastern New Mexico, leading the Greyhounds to a 5-9-6 mark and a pair of wins over his alma mater (MSU). Since departing Portales, Spence is 0-2 against his former club.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Eastern New Mexico has won two of three after a five-game losing streak, including a 5-2 win over Oklahoma Christian on Thursday night. The Greyhounds have not won back-to-back games since opening the season 3-0. Desiree Morgas has scored a team-high seven goals for ENMU, good for 4th in the Lone Star Conference. The redshirt sophomore has scored a goal in three straight games, and four of her last five.
UP NEXT
The Mustangs close out the 2019 regular season with home games against Texas A&M-Commerce on November 7 and a senior day clash with UT Tyler on November 9.
