SAN ANTONIO, Texas – After a 1-0 loss to St. Edward's that saw the Hilltoppers score in the opening minute of the game, the Midwestern State Mustangs travel to San Antonio on Thursday looking to snap a six game slide. Match time is set for 7 p.m.  
 
SERIES HISTORY
Midwestern State leads the 6-4-2 and has posted back-to-back one goal wins over the Rattlers. This is the first meeting between the two schools since October 25, 2015.
 
STUCK IN NEUTRAL
After a season opening win over New Mexico Highlands, the Mustangs have gone winless over their last eight games (0-7-1) and have lost six straight.
 
SPENDING TIME WITH SPENCE
Ryan Spence opened his second season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Soccer team with a 3-2 overtime win over New Mexico Highlands on September 6. In his first year in charge, the Mustangs finished 2-13-3 and 1-9-2 in Lone Star Conference action, earning a trip to the quarterfinals in the LSC Postseason Tournament.
 
SCOUTING THE RATTLERS
Like Midwestern State, St. Mary's (0-3) is winless in Lone Star Conference play in 2019. The Rattlers are coming off a 3-1 loss to Texas A&M International last Thursday. Serena Frank and Alexia Maldonado pace the club with two goals apiece.
