WICHITA Falls, Texas – Midwestern State returns to the friendly confines of D.L. Ligon Coliseum on Tuesday after a pair of Lone Star Conference losses last week. Match time is slated for 6 p.m.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Midwestern State leads the all-time series 25-9 but dropped the last meeting in 2016, 3-1. Despite that loss, MSU Texas is 13-2 over the last 15 meetings.

HAMMERING HONEYCUTT
Lauren Honeycutt blasted 11 kills while compiling a .421 kill rate in last weekend's loss to Eastern New Mexico. The .421 kill rate was a season-high. 

GLAWE DISHING OUT THE ASSISTS
Sarah Glawe recorded a match high 26 assists in Midwestern State's five set loss to Eastern New Mexico last Saturday. Glawe has logged 10+ assists in all but one match this season.

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON STORM

Southern Nazarene enters play fresh off a 3-0 sweep of East Central on October 3. The Crimson Storm have alternated wins and losses over their last 5 matches (3-2) and are looking for their first two match winning streak since September 24. Bailee Turang leads SNU with 215 kills (3.52 kills/set) while Kylie Smith has recorded 703 assists (10.82 assists/set).
 
ODDS AND ENDS
­This marks the third time this season the Crimson Storm will battle a team from the Lone Star Conference. SNU already owns wins over UT Tyler (3-0) and Arkansas-Fort Smith (3-1). This is the first meeting between the two schools since 2016.
 
COACH'S CORNER
Valerie Armstrong began her second season as Head Coach of the Midwestern State Volleyball team with a thrilling five-set win over Western State (Colorado) on September 6. In her first season at the helm, the Mustangs posted a 5-23 record and a 3-17 mark in the Lone Star Conference.
 
UP NEXT
The Mustangs continue their three match homestand on Friday with a Lone Star Conference tilt against UT Permian Basin. Match time is 6 p.m.
